Walter Bergmoser is currently Rector of Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule and Head of the school's BA photography programme. As an educator in the past, he has previously been the head of photography at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, a lecturer at TaiK, University of Art and Design in Helsinki, and a lecturer at Famu, Film and Photography University in Prague.
In recent years, Walter has been Director of portfolio reviews for the European Month of Photography in Berlin (2014), Curator of the exhibition Fast Break featuring Korean photography in Tampere, Finland (2012), and Director and Chief Curator of the Daegu Photo Biennale in South Korea (2010).
He has reviewed portfolios at festivals such as PhotoIreland (2012) and European Month of Photography in Bratislava (2008-2011).
