Rebecca Simons (FIN/NL) is an independent photography editor, producer and educator. She believes in the power of visual storytelling and is dedicated to talent development.
Rebecca is the co-initiator of Transformations, a research and education project exploring the changes in photography, and the initiator of El-Art, supporting entrepreneurial learning for artists. She teaches photography at Willem de Kooning Academy and through international workshops.
Rebecca is a regular portfolio reviewer and nominator for several talent programs such as World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass, 6×6 talents, BJP Ones to Watch, and Zilveren Camera Storytelling.
Previously, she has been the creative director for Fotomat and worked as Senior Producer & Interim Manager at World Press Photo’s education department. Rebecca also develops personal art projects such as the recent multimedia project Letters From The Past, tackling the theme of sexual abuse within the family.
